Before chocolate is chocolate it comes to us from the seeds of the tropical tree, Theobroma cacao. In history the Greeks used the term ‘food of the gods’ to describe Theobroma. Back then chocolate was thought of as a delicacy, a privilege and a honor. It was a rarity that one would be able to indulge in such a pleasure as chocolate that when it was given as a gift you must have been held in the highest regardes by your giver. Over time we have been given the pleasure of having this decadent treat whenever we want … waiting in line at the grocery store, while getting gas and on break at work. Many companies have attempted to explore the wondrous delights that chocolate can make, but there are only a few companies that have taken this ingredient and become artist. Using it as if the thought of it’s rarity still existed and provided it with nurturing complexity that is the existence of chocolate.

Maroon Bells is having our weekly Wednesday $1 Ice Cream! Not only are you having all your favorite delicious, creamy and flavorful for only a $1, but we are also hosting a special family night. We will have a face painter, free sampling, and a free toffee topping if you buy a scoop of vanilla ice cream. And if that’s isn’t cool enough Maroon Bells is giving away a free bag of chocolates to kids who come dressed up in the Halloween custom. The Event starts at 4PM!!
Tomorrow is the first of many Tuesday’s where Maroon Bells will be saying Toffee Toffee TOFFEE!! Emery Dorsey IV, Maroon Bells Head Master Candy Maker, is known for how well he can make a batch of toffee. The undeniable love and technique of his craft seeps through every piece of toffee that he makes. With his trusted staff, which whom he’s been working with for over 5 years work hand in hand with Emery to provide the smoothest, tastiest and most delectable toffee you could ever ask for.
For tomorrow, Tuesday October 25th we will be showing how toffee is made to whomever wants to come at the given times 10:00AM, 1:00PM, and 3:00PM. As well as seeing how toffee is produced Emery himself will be there to answer any questions you may have. And if that’s not awesome enough we will be having toffee sampling toffee tower giveaways all day.
